TeamSpeak Servers Offline
Any teamspeak servers I host will be down for a bit sometime within the next 24 hours. I'm going to add battery backup for the router/modem/server which will prevent unexpected crashes and keep the server safer. I also need to make some other wiring changes that requires turning off all power. Sorry for any inconvenience.
There is a chance that the server platform will switch to Linux in the near future, but that won't be for a few weeks if it does happen at all, so don't count on it.
If you are in servers 8768, 8769, 8770, 8772, or 8773 make sure you check this site every so often. I hope to make it so you have to renew your server each week or month in order to keep it, I'm afraid servers are being left empty and wasted while there are other needy people requesting servers that I can't provide for them. At the same time I don't want to delete or re-assign your server if you in fact do use it. After checking the servers I host 40 times there were probably only 2 times I saw people in them. Again, this excludes port 8767 and 8771, I know these servers are both well used. I don't mean to be a pain with this, but I feel it's necessary to help the most people.

Forums
Forums have existed for a while now, but I've just gotten around to adding them to the navigation bar. Not really sure why they exist, except because someone said I should get forums and I can. There isn't much content there yet, but I hope to add some more stuff soon. This is also the part of the site that you can contribute to directly. Post your own tutorials, guides, anything--and receive full credit.
If you want an area to exist on the forums that doesn't already (Example: Silk Road, America's Army, Warrock...) let me know. You can post a comment here, start a topic in the forums or of course contact me directly.

Yes, I know this is a blog...
I am completely aware of the fact that this is a blog. I have no problem using Google's free web hosting, free templates, and easy-to-use editing program. I did purchase a domain for the site and have it forward to this address. There are small plans for creating a new non-blog homepage, but I see no problem with the way the site is currently set up. Google has made a great service and I'm not ashamed to use it; I can also take advantage of free reliable hosting with unlimited bandwidth.

No More Ads - TeamSpeak
This site, http://beantier.com, no longer contains any advertisements. Other related, but separate, sites linked to from here may contain ads within themselves; however these sites should not be considered the same and are in fact separate sites within "cyberspace." For example, this site's root address is actually http://www.beantier.blogspot.com, any of the other sites linked to from this site are not a sub-site, sub-page, child page, orphan page, etc.. of this site; they are contained completely within themselves at their own address. http://www.beantier.blogspot.com is the only site linked to from any of the TeamSpeak servers by default. The link exists in the server to provide users a way to read about server updates, news, and leave feedback or ask questions concerning their server. If a link to a site exists in the server that contains ads it was not placed there by the server host, it may have been added to a Chanel topic, description, or sent in a message by any of the server's users on their own free will.
If you are confused as to why this is all being clarified read below as I attempt to explain what has so far been said:
First, if you are to profit from hosting teamspeak servers, in most cases this means if you are going to be selling teamspeak servers as an authorized host, you have to pay the "teamspeak" company" in order to use their software. Fees are based on how many servers you are hosting, how many slots each server is, etc...
You are allowed to host teamspeak servers without paying the "teamspeak company" except you aren't allowed to profit from hosting the servers. This means you can't make people pay for them, you can't ask for donations, you can't advertise in the server, you can't give out the server for free as the bonus part of a package someone is paying for, etc... etc... etc...
The hosting I am providing qualifies as Non-Commercial, otherwise I have to pay fees even though I'm not selling the servers.
6. Examples
Examples of Non-Commercial Entities include but are not limited to the following:
a) An individual hosting a single TeamSpeak server configured to allow up to 100 slots for their online gaming clan using their home Cable/DSL connection for non-profit.
b) An individual hosting 10 TeamSpeak servers with 100 slots each but does NOT ask for fees, does not advertise, nor receives any sort of compensation or benefits for doing so.
c) An individual that rents a dedicated server from a hosting company but does NOT ask for fees from clan members AND does NOT rent or share space with others for profit.
d) A church or other non-profit, non-commercial organization hosting a free TeamSpeak server for online bible study discussions.
e) A public or non-commercial school hosting 1 TeamSpeak server on 10 physical machines, each configured to allow no more than 100 slots and is completely free of charge to students, allowing them to receive help with homework for their classes online.
I am not an ATHP as described below:
3. Authorized TeamSpeak Host Provider (ATHP) Licensing Fees
Authorized TeamSpeak Host Providers (ATHPs) are entities that rent TeamSpeak servers to others for profit of ANY kind - be it monetary, from direct sales, advertising profit, or intangible goods and services. ATHPs typically charge their customers a monthly fee OR include TeamSpeak as part of other services or offerings to their customers free of charge. You are subject to ATHP usage based licensing fees if you charge an access or rental fee either directly, indirectly, OR via inclusion of a TeamSpeak server as part of any rental or other paid service **REGARDLESS** of whether or not you choose to charge for the TeamSpeak server itself.
5. ATHP Examples
Examples where ATHP-based licensing applies include but are not limited to the following:
a) Direct Fees - If you charge a monthly rental or usage fee for a TeamSpeak server OR channel you are subject to ATHP licensing fees.
b) Indirect Fees - If you “sponsor” a clan and ask them to advertise for you in return for the use of a TeamSpeak server OR channel you are subject to ATHP licensing fees.
c) Inclusion Fees - If you are a Game Server Provider (GSP) that hosts a TeamSpeak server OR channel to someone who is paying a monthly fee to rent a game server then you are subject to ATHP licensing fees REGARDLESS of whether or not you choose to charge for the TeamSpeak server itself.
